The Delta folks are still saying that hiring will begin again this fall. Supposed to be an advanced entitlement out in August with 737NG, 777 and backfills for those slots.

Don't know if that will remain true, but this far, the plan outlined a couple months ago is still the plan.

I would think US Air and United's request to delay China service might help bolster Delta's China flying.

Of course the bottom of the Delta list with a NWA merger on the near horizon is an "interesting" place to be. But, Delta is an excellent employer FWIW.

I would expect CAL to also hire again in the fall / winter. Might be a good time to get in line.

Good luck with your decision. What are you typed in?

Since we ALL already KNOW everything, no point in this board I guess... A simple "no" will suffice from what you know at your own airline, thanks

Hey...easy there tiger. I just assumed you might be a grad student doing research or something. Perhaps a student pilot looking to the future.

As opposed to this board, Airlinepilotcentral.com has good (or better) info on who is hiring. JMHI

UPS and FDX won't be hiring for a while. You can thank Age 65 and limited expansion for that little detail.

Training department still says DL will be hiring late fall early winter of this year.. winter 09 at the latest. We all know these things change at the drop of a hat, though.

I believe NW will be hiring around the same time.

WN is supposedly draining their pool faster than planned and will be at least interviewing sooner than anticipated.

US, UA, AA, CO.... well UA and AA are talking furloughs and CO is a possibility. US I think is taking a few flow throughs but that's it.

So....Nope, none of the "majors"

Thanks for the info guys...I am hoping to go somewhere outside the frac/corp world, but its looking a little slim. Don't want to be gone for a week at a time anymore, or deal with all the other 'busy work'. Just want to fly the plane and get home every few days or so.
Thanks again to all who gave good info. Flt Ops (once prided itself on employee retention) has gotten worse than anyone could have ever predicted. Anyone who didn't get the axe will be gone soon...there is no way doors can stay open long
