Strictly my personal opinion based on working at UPS and on UPS' past history with Challenge, I think UPS would just take the assets they wanted, mainly the -400s and the international route authority. To this day UPS claims we are overstaffed and therefore I'm sure they would feel no need to take any of Polar's flight crews. I believe if UPS ever does buy Polar or any other similar type operator the chance of them just taking assets and not the employees is very high.

Just look at Challenge, all UPS wanted was the SA authority, they didn't even take over any of the 757Fs that Challenge operated.

Yeah and all in time for Christmas! What a scumbag thing to do. To buy a company then take what they want and leave the hardworking employees with their butts hanging in the wind. UPS has already shown their true color (brown, the color of SH!T)with Challenge. Who's next Big Brown?

That's why for my package needs, I GO DHL!!

And fedex took over the postal service flying in 2001 kicking at least 1500 pilots onto the streets, who later on got no assistance from the government when the furloughed passenger guys hit the streets after 9-11. If my package has to go somewhere, it goes DHL

That's always been UPS's strategy, go back to the Orion days. As for the rumor, it's been around for years, nothing new........LOL
Who cares, let UPS buy PO and see if they let Atlas fly the routes under an "alliance agreement" ........ hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
