I've been hearing a lot of talk lately...people are questioning whether Arnold Schwarzenegger, an actor, is qualified to serve as the governor of California.

For those who ask such questions, I have four words:

Ronald Reagan. Jesse Ventura. :D

So how about it, Californians? Think you could go for Arnold as governor?

Growing up in Cali, I remember Arnold always being involved in the local politics. I can't imagine he'd be any worse than some of the slime that's moved through the state. I've heard him give interviews about the kinds of changes he'd like to make, and he actually seems like a pretty intelligent guy.

Plus, if he were to get elected, that'd make two governors that had main roles in the same motion picture (Predator)!

So what state can the guy who played the predator run in? "Vote for me, and I promise not to rip your skull out through your upper back!" :D

I grew up in LA as well, chperplt. Born in Newport Beach, lived in Venice until I was 7 or so - then lived in the Valley (Woodland Hills) until I came out to Austin for college.

I miss it too. I need to head back out there, once I get a break from work.

I grew up in Simi Valley. My parents still live there, and my brother is in Irvine. I try and get out there a couple times a year. When I moved to Vegas I thought I would get out there more. Hasn't happened yet.

It's amazing how much Venice beach has changed. You still see wierdos, but you don't see the monkey riding the bike anymore.
