I'll throw a bone out here for the French-bashers - One of Airbus' unions claims that the contract will REDUCE the number of French jobs at Airbus!

It will. Airbus announced that they are opening an A330F assembly line along with the tanker line in mobile. With the whole Power8 thing still to be decided as far as 'efficiency' job cuts go, I'd be nervous if I were them too...

If the currency thing stays the way it is, they'll need to get out of Euro-denominated manufacturing. This is one way to do it.

Don't forget that AETC's t-1's are Japanese and the t-6 texan was orginally swiss (I believe it was)
