I read the letter that the vice chairman wrote concerning the facts. Interesting read and to me it lacks substance and true knowledge of the facts. Being an endeavor pilot I can tell the Eagle pilots a few things. First of all we do not have a flow. All Mesaba pilots (endeavor air is pinnacle, colgan and Mesaba combined) at one time had a flow. Events transpired (we r not sure how it happened, but many blame the MEC for being greedy with Delta) that cancelled that flow for all but a few who were lucky to be grandfathered into the flow. What endeavor (Bendover air) has is a preferred interview program. At one point the success rate was as low as 35% but now sits at 55%. The program is basically open to all captains and grants an interview in seniority order. Your vice chairs comments about endeavors flow and delta hiring to support his goal of a yes vote question everything he has said. Especially on who would take your flying from you. Who can attract the new pilots to even preserve anyone's current flying, that is the question we should be asking. The regionals who survive will be the ones who can attract the new pilots to replace the ones they are losing to the majors. Not the ones with the lowest pay, the ones with the lowest pay will be doing what endeavor is doing, parking planes to match staffing levels because they cannot hire enough people to replace leaving first officers and captains. We have had hundreds of first officers leave to other regionals that have a second year pay that is greater than our capped four year pay. I will also tell you all that we have 6-7 year FO 's on that four year scale with more downgrades planned because of...... You guessed it, the parking of planes.

Beware of the MEC who says we must take pay cuts to survive, they are in bed with management, alpa national who does not have your best interests in mind, and your parent company.

I was not voting for the industry and for your job or contract. I was voting for my mortgage and my kids. I wanted to be able to have my job for 2 more years to find a new job. You were not there when our MEC, Delta's MEC and ALPA national all pushed us to sign yes. Turns out, those three parties just might not have had our best interest in mind. I wish we voted no. I know now that Delta could not have lost the 10,000 seats that Delta passengers fly on Endeavor. Gee, I wonder if the Eagle MEC got a couple thousand phone calls/emails from pilots asking why they didn't get to vote on the agreement their union accepted in January...

Oh, now "the company" made them send it out:

"There were six of us who abstained from the vote. We have told the company numerous times that we do not want to entertain any agreement that contains concessions. They have not gotten the message and continue to force the issue of concessions at a time when we believe the state of the industry is obviously shifting in our favor," the two representatives wrote in the message.

...not exactly a "profiles in courage" moment, but at least the pilots vote for themselves. If they vote it down, then they own it. Otherwise, the MEC owns it 100%.​

Really? Maybe you should asses the changes in the industry from that time period to now... No one was having staffing issues in those days! Have you noticed how recently many regionals are shrinking(due to lack of crews), pulling out of markets, and parking entire fleets(Republic, Lakes, etc.)?! Some management are being proactive and offering unsolicited raises along with quality of life increases(CommutAir was just offered large increases along with hotels in base for commuters)!

Of course not - they have bills to pay, know how to fly airplanes, and there are jobs available at regionals. Doesn't take a genius to put two and two together.

Newsflash,
If 500 CAs and 500 F/Os from any airline, only a small number will go to messa, SKYW ect. Some may go to the majors, but many cannot afford to go from senior CA to new hire F/O. I personally will leave aviation for Plans B,C and D, I have enough savings to bridge the gap until the plans take full effect, and I will watch with rapt attention as the industry implodes. There are critical mass effects that will make this whole steaming pile of dog droppings, entertaining to watch.

Are you assuming everyone will do this? Isn't the total regional industry shrinking anyway? Maybe there won't be any jobs for them even if they wanted to start year 1 at another regional?

At the time we were in bankruptcy.

Do any of you know what that is? Is anyone who is voting in that same situation?

At the time, there were hundreds of Comair pilots on the street looking for jobs. Is that the situation currently in our industry?

Comparing Pinnacle's vote to any vote now is like comparing apples to Oranges.
