There is always a market to move 50-100 people around quickly and at a high daily frequency. The first company to adapt 787 fuel-efficiency technology on a smaller aircraft wins. From the above link, looks like they have the inside track.
 
I wonder if Mitsubishi will put ailerons on this one. :erm:

I believe the FAA recently mandated some type-styled training for the MU-2. Seems that most of the accidents are more pilot-related than design-related. IF you ask me, they both go hand in hand.

And yeah..... bring on those Q's...and how bout' a newer version of the 1900?
