Interesting editorial in the Washington Post. I'm surprised they printed it.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A19164-2004Mar23.html

"Indeed, al Qaeda rhetoric regularly "proved" that the Americans were vulnerable to terrorism by invoking the hasty cut-and-run after 18 Army soldiers died in the 1993 "Black Hawk Down" events in Somalia -- a strategy developed and implemented, ironically enough, by the same Richard Clarke who torments the Bush team today. "

I was surprised to learn that Mr. Clark was the same guy who gave us Somalia, but was (by his account) so 'all-knowing' about the al qaeda threat prior to 9/11.

The only thing that made Somalia a defeat was the typical democrat response of run when there is a fight.

We kicked serious ass that day. I have heard enemy combatant casualty figures running into the thousands, and we lost 18 soldiers in a rather well executed hasty ambush. Though the American loss of life is tragic, it sent a telling message to cut and run when the stakes rose.

I resigned my commission shortly after that decision, deciding that I did not want to work for a boss that was so obviously lacking in leadership and mental toughness. It was an extraordinarily shameful moment in American history in my book, and one that was only recently rectified.

In the end, I guess you can't count on a boy to do the work of a man...

No, No, No, it's a lie!

The second article can't be true. It is all Bush's fault. Dont you people understand that. This article has nothing but biased factual data unlike the democrats unbiased hypothetical hyperbole. If you don't believe me, just ask marykay cosmetic dude, 350, and the other few left wing dilusionists.
