Saw it... it was ok... interesting depiction of HH the man, but not a real lot focused on the TWA parts of his life. All in all, worth a matenee price...

I found it to be pretty good. Can't say I would go see it again but I will probably get the DVD when it come out as well.

Found the "battle" between TWA & Pan Am to be quite interesting. Even went to the trouble of checking several sources of information over the internet for a good history lesson.

Other than that, I liked the movie, and it didn't seem as long as it is.

Definitely worth seeing for content, and the acting wasn't bad either. Cate Blanchett (sp and was that her? Looked like her....) did a fabulous job of portraying Katherine Hepburn. The Spruce Goose was awesome as....... the Spruce Goose.

not a bad flick, why is it that dicaprio's only decent roles are when he plays mentally disadvantaged r unstable people? (gilbert grape, catch me, and this one)

cate blanchett did a good job channeling that new england annoyingness
plenty of cute chicks too,
especially kate beckinsale as ava gardner (supposedly she put on 20lbs for that role, and, she should keep it on, cause she looked great)
some of the flying stuff was cool tooo

Just saw it over the weekend. Thought it was pretty decent, but found myself wishing there was more flying in it. Yeah, that was Cate, and she did a great job.

One nitpick: why does Hollywood think that pilots don't advance the throttles to takeoff power until they lift off?

For the same reason they think that when you lose all power, you begin a dive at about, oh say, 45 degrees nose-down. You know, the airplane is a very unsafe and nearly uncontrollable beast! Hardly anything the public should be allowed to utilize, much less the hollywood elite. Man, the risks these hollywood fliers take....;)
