Just saw a blurb about a Viper (F16) midair involving Terre Haute unit. Maybe bad gouge, but reports are one fatality.

A toast to those who have gone before...and another grim reminder of the cost of this business.

God bless the friends and families...keep this team in your prayers.

Thanks Albie,

I'm not a military guy, (although still thinking about it) but I fly out of, and I'm from Terre Haute. I'm a student of Indiana State's aviation program. The reports are correct. One died, and another survived. The word is that his parachute failed. Now whether he died before the parachute mishap, I don't know.

It's a **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** shame though. And it tears me up even more, considering I was listening to them talking on my radio scanner in my bedroom about 20-30 minutes before it happened. Tough one to bare. He'll be in my prayers.

I just wonder what happened to cause the collision. We had popcorn thunderstorms around the area all day. I was going to fly, but I decided not to. I'll be interested to hear what the he!! happened
