Question about a low level route in southeast Williamson County. I see T-6's and T-1's flying over my property. (NO COMPLAINTS ! - I'm an ex RF-101 driver and understand the need for LL training.) The route obviously crosses over US79 between Taylor and Thrall, proceeds south and crosses US290 between Butler and McDade. It is not shown on the San Antonio Sectional. Again, I am not making a complaint; I'm just curious as to where the route enters and exits and who flies it. Over the years, it's been flown by C-130's and T-37's. Thanks in advance for any info.

OK, it's been a number of years, but if I recall it's SR route that belongs to Randolph. Seems to me like the sectionals only show the IR and VR routes (SR being a route limited to 250KIAS). Looking at Google Earth the route looks really familiar but i don't remember the entry or exit points. Wing Safety could probably help you out (210) 652-2224.

Thanks for the reply and Wing Safety's phnoe number. Since it's really a question of curiosity on my part, I may not bother them with a call.

I got my answer. Ran into a RAFB IP who gave me a copy of SR286.
