Terminal Area Preferred Routing

Does any one know if there is a link to preferred routing in and out of a busy area? Sometimes we get as filled with a STAR, but more times than not they change it or add fixes to it.

As an example departing PTK the other day they give us routing, which we could not find shown anywhere.

PTK, file it GONNE or WINGS since 99% of the time that is what will be given depending on direction of flight.
