Anyone use the new Telex 850? Especially in an RJ?

I really like the idea of ANR with no batteries, but I'm wondering if it's quiet enough to wear without earplugs.

Comments?

I purchased the 850 a few months ago and am very pleased with it in the CRJ. Keeps out the majority of the wind noise. Also, the earcups are larger than the 750 and seal pretty well. I've been looking for gel-type ear seals (if they exist), but no luck. Anyway, I think you'll be happy with it if purchased.

I'll second the recommendation. I had the 850 in a CRJ without earplugs. Not perfect, but FAR better than the 750s. It's a little more money, but I have no regrets.

I'm selling my Telex 850 ANR, been using it for only a few weeks on the RJ (mint condition with box, manuals). I'm gonna bite the bullet and get the Bose for the long haul. $370 including shipping. PM me if you're interested.
