Have you tried calling Telex, they will send you new earpads free and pay for the shipping. David Clark sent me a brand new headset free and all I asked them for was an M4 mic.
 
Go to Radio Shack, get the replacement hands free leather type with a mic muff. It will last longer and look better. And the other pilot will ask "Where did you get your ear muffs".

I gave them a call and was told I could buy a replacement at Sporty's. Thanks for the idea, it was worth a try.

What about new windscreens for the mic? i spent 8 bucks on one!!
