A SW pilot who lives by the golden rule ever since being hired at SW decides he would not enjoy being treated the way AT is being treated.

He approaches GK and tells him that the golden rule should apply to those who work at and outside of SW.

GK fires him and no one rallies behind him rejoicing they moved up the seniority ladder.

It is ok, grab a tissue, I am weeping as well.

This will be in the new book - Nuts 2, the pair that did not hang tough.

Everyone shed a tear for poor little wood pecker!

The tranny MEC tanks a deal worth millions, now trannies hear the next one probably isn't as good as the last. For this we should all feel sorry for them? (Don't hate SWA pilots for this; its your MC that keeps bringing you these deals!)

Now, here's a preview of what's still to come:

From the MEC update today-

The MEC decided that the seniority list was worth pursuing, and directed the Merger Committee to return to Dallas along with members of the Negotiating Committee to continue discussions toward a complete seniority integration agreement. That does not mean, however, that the pilots have something to vote on just yet. There is still a process that both sides have agreed to follow in order to get an overall package that would be suitable for pilot review.

The MEC has said "okay, maybe" while crossing their fingers behind their back, all the while planning to re-capture items that may have been lost in this deal vs. the last one. Those attempts will sound like "NO" and the next stop will be lunch at Arby's.

Good-faith negotiations? Hardly!!

I thought the golden rule was:, the one with the gold, makes the rules.

Just what the board needed....................another Airtran/SWA merger thread. You guys are worse than the ASA guys in the regional section.
