anybody have a clue what the going day/hourly rate is for a tbm700 pilot in the SE? additionally, any ideas on insurance requirements? should 2500tt, 500+ in pressurized piston airplanes and about 25 in tbm 700's get it?

If you can find one on the ground around the Atlanta area, and the tail number ends in "QD", ask the pilot.

It's Quest Diagnostics.

There are a load of them based at LZU on the Piedmont Hawthorne side of the field... They fly for a lab. The counter folks should be able to get you a name or number. As far as insurance goes, you will almost certainly need an insurance approved school for the aircraft.

thanks so far guys. i was propositioned to fly one on a contract basis, but don't wan't to be a low-baller. i'm guessing 350/day plus expenses might be right, but i don't know. the owner will send me to class on his dime, so that's no problem. i KNOW i can be added to his insurance policy, but if i'm not going to jack his premium up, i might insist on a higher rate.

quest seems like a cool place. i hear them on the radio all of the time. sorry to hear about their loss earlier this year.
