Dose a TBM 700 require a an additional type rating?

Anyone have a downloadable POH for a TBM 700?

Are their any funky flight characteristics?

Thanks A Bunch!

What is the weight, I doubt it is over 12.5 So my answer would be no.

Gross Weight: 6579 lbs

You do not require a type rating, but do require the 'required' high altitude and other signoffs. Just curious, what type of outfit will you be flying this for, or is it a family plane?

It is an amazing aircraft, but for someone with 470 hours, could be a handful.

I did read the FARs but figured I would ask also!
Type rating required Max gross weight over 12,500. Or turbojet.

61.31 (a) Type ratings required. A person who acts as a pilot in command of any of the following aircraft must hold a type rating for that aircraft:
(1) Large aircraft (except lighter-than-air).
(2) Turbojet-powered airplanes.
(3) Other aircraft specified by the Administrator through aircraft type certificate procedures.

(3) could have been the reason for the question.

Huh, I guess I would have had a question about it as well if I had only read the FAR's. Damn FAA.

The tbm is a good plane i started flying a C2 with 300 plus hours and didnt take to long to feel really comfortable in it. Wish the plane had more room in the cockpit and a pisser but oh well.
