Hi everyone. I am a broke CFI who has previousley only filed taxes using W-2's. I know there are threads about this, but things may have changed. As an independent contractor what am I able to deduct from my taxable income? Any web page refrences etc. are appreciated.
I was told that while displaced for certain periods of time due to your job, you are able to deduct all groceries needed during that time. Sometimes I stay at different locations for a few days to help instruct, I have receipts for these expenses, but I have learned through aviation to never accept something that you only "heard."
Thanks for the input, someday I hope to return the favor for someone who may need info on something I know about... heh, we'll see.
