Anyone in the TPA area ever operate out of Tampa Bay Exec?
I know they have been talking about closing the airport for some years now but after this October it's gone forever. Privately owned, but pretty much public use, and 233 ops a day which is more ops daily than pilot country, tampa north and clearwater airpark combined.

What a shame that this couldn't be avoided.

christ that sucks man. did you hear that tfs is going out of business? think they're giving it up in early june. didn't know if you had heard. not gonna be the same.

how's jax? i'm back on the rock. never got you to buy me a beer in tampa. you can make it up to me. :D

I have flown out of Tampa Exec many times, mostly back in the days when it was public although it still acted as public now. It is in a section of Pasco County that is expanding rapidly with new housing. The hanger waiting list at my home field of Clearwater Airpark just got longer. Brooksville about fiteen miles north, is looking at adding hangers and upgrading, but I will miss old KX41.
