It's Labor vs Management

It's Labor vs Management.

It's not about Pinnacle vs Mesaba. It's not about Go-Jets vs Trans States, it's not about Teamsters vs Alpa.

It's Labor vs Management and the battlefield is always changing. The history books will write that Go-Jets was the bottom and the turning point, just like the Battle of Miday turned the tide.

There is a labor fight brewing in this country which is going to unfold slowly over the next 5-10 years. The Transit Workers Strike which shut down parts of New York was the opening salvo. Keep your eyes and ears open.

It's Labor vs Management. Get in the ring.

ReformALPA: Starting out with an insult is my tactic and you lose your audience quickly and come across as an elitist.

If you want to reform ALPA (which might be a good idea) the pilots have to know who they are and where they've been. Only then will we know where we are going.

The typical ALPA pilot, including 20+ Legacy carrier pilots, need to spend some time in the books.

ALPA is a resource. It is not a service organization. Unions or Associations provide the tools but the [entire] membership has got to do the work.

Before you reform, you've got to inform.

Flying the Line Vol. I and II
When the Airlines Went to War
Air Line Pilots: A Study in Elite Unionization
The SWA Way.
Hard Landing (Deregulation)

If you are an airline pilot and you haven't read one of these books then you are behind. Catch up.
