Anybody know what's up with the Q400 that was hit by Lufthansa in IAD? They gonna fix it, send it to the razors, or make a cabin trainer out of it?

It will be repaired, but is at the bottom of RAH's priority list...Damage wasn't that extensive, but in order to make the airplane airworthy the tail had to be removed all components inspected for damage.

They have priorities?

They have priorities?

#1: screw employees, squash morale
#2: pay mgmt
#3: safety
#4: fix airplanes
#5: provide a quality product to the mainline carriers and the passengers
#6: train FA's and give them the tools to do their job well

I was just making honest speculation on why the airplane hasn't been repaired, and I further believe that there is also some litigation going on with Lufthansa and the Washington Airport Authority on paying the bill. I used to fly them for another operator, and the Captain that was working the flight is a friend of mine. A lot of nice people at RAH, but I think it was a royal screw-job that RAH wound up with airplanes. Best of luck...
