Hi
what do you guys think about including the engine failure t/o continued memory items in your t/o briefing?

An F/O in my company did it and one of the captain told the f/o it was a waste of time because if you have another emergency, such as an engine fire, you did not brief it therefore you are not ready.

Some guys like to overbrief every takeoff. Its not a shuttle launch. If they are memory items why re-brief them? If something really happens how much are you really gonna remember. Stick to the basics unless the airport or depature require a special procedure.
 
A guy's only gonna listen for about 30 seconds, no matter what you're talking about.

Route, Altitude, Transition, Terrain and Engine-out SID. And maybe a little about the taxi route. Everything else is stuff you already know.

There in lies the problem, after a point in time no one pays attention, we brief "standard" and abnormal procedures or a/c status, notams that affect us.
