Not sure if there are any videos out there, but St. Barths has an interesting approach due to a large hill and a very short runway ending at the beach.

heh heh, check this one out

my favorite part of this clip is when the A-340 guns the engines to take off. Click on the top/first video (there's only 2). Check out the dudes hanging onto the fence. if i ever get a chance to go to St. Maarten, i'm doing what they did! :D

Not to be nit-picky, but that statement cracks me up! "Guns the engines??":D The owner I fly for would cringe at the thought his pilot's are "gunning" the engines.

I've got a few videos from St. Maarten. Pretty neat stuff. I think the approach in there is the best part though. It's tough to keep yourself focused on the task at hand! ;) The guys on the fence when the airbus took off were exagerating <sp?> a little bit but there is a significant amount of jet blast. You can definitely watch the beach blow out into the ocean...and if people are stupid enough to leave their towels or beach bags out there, those also may fly into the ocean. I saw one couple have to retrieve their towel from about 25 yards into the ocean. I didn't notice this until I got home and was watching some of the footage I had, but a local kid who had a big green lizard that just hung around him nearly lost the lizard from the jet blast!
