Does anyone have any info on these guys. They are supposedly going to try to operate 2 or 3 747SP under contract. I've been contacted by them, but I need info before I chat with them.
Thanks in advance.

Heard some guys on pprune talking about this outfit. It's interesting so I thought you all might want to take a look:www.sweetwaterair.com

It's hard to tell exactly what they're proposing to offer as a service. The descriptions are a bit vague on the website...or maybe I just don't get it.

It sounds like a Fractional op with 747's. That has to be a pretty narrow market. If you do go talk to them, let us know what you find out.

Bogus?

The company is beginning to sound bogus to a lot of us.

I originally allowed them to post "job opening" information on the Aviation Employment Board, but pulled their notice after complaints. Still, they reposted the information earlier this week and I pulled it again. My email to the company has gone unanswered.

A companion thread about the company is being run on the Cabin Managers board. If anyone can ad relevant information, that would be much appreciated:

By " bogus ", do you mean a company that'll just never actually happen or one that is fraudulent from the start ?

As odd as it appears, that's quite an elaborate website and they did contact the original poster of this thread.

A better word: Scam

Bogus might not be the best word. How about scam? Seems as if a number of flight attendants have been hired and sent Priceline "tickets" and a very unprofessional looking training manual. When they contact the airline about the ticket, there is no record of their name.

Company claims their first flight will be July 17th with seven days of training to precede it. Supposedly flying for the Global Peace Initiative and some well know U.S. companies.

I've viewed their website and I am not impressed. Lots of unfinished areas and not a lot of useful information. Nobody can figure out who the owners are, the key managers, etc.

If anyone has detailed information that would be great.

I don't know the first thing about this outfit, the owners....not anything. But I DO know, however, that when I hear a name like "The Global Peace Initiative", I reach for my gun.

Run In the Other Direction

Stay away, far far away. It appears that one person created the Sweetwater website and the FlyTaylorAir website. The same person seems to have at least 15 different email addresses. Checking out the posts there are people posting that know the head flight attendant. Rumor has it that he/she was a Delta flight attendant that was terminated.

Sweetwater Again

Well, my sources have told me that 8 flight attendants have been trained. But no airplane. Story is that the plane is on the ground in Germany and it belonged to some emir in Oman. Checking the Aruba website, no aircraft is registered there for Sweetwater.

Hmm, makes one really wonder what these folks are smoking!

Maybe right after Family Airlines does !!

LOL

3 5 0

bafanguy- any ex-Dal pilots transfer over to Air Elite once they hit the magic 6 0 ? Just curious since I see you always looking and Air Elite continues to hire. Possibly a match made in heaven?;)

More on the Airline That Isn't

Seems that the 747SP that was purchased from a European broker is still available. Interesting that the f/a's were first told it was in Germany and then it was in Aruba. My sources tell me that it is still on the ground in Muscat.

More on the Airline That Isn't

Some of the trolley dolleys that trained with SAS received charges on their credit cards when the company cards were denied. Not a good start or is that finish?

Sweetwater

I would like to hear from any of the Pilots that were hired. I have also heard that Joseph Sandlin/CEO will not return any calls or give any information.

Just The Latest

Flight attendant said that the airline is not going to happen..closing shop. Wait..was there ever even an office?

Pilots?

There are/were no pilots. There was only an over anxious flight attendant who put out their own money to fly flight attendants to Honolulu and then left them with chargebacks on their credit cards and bounced personal per diem checks!

No plane, no money, no approval, no registration, no nothing.
