I'm lucky that the individual (and yes, I know who did that) did not cause more embarrassment for me than he did.

arbitration is just a recommendation its not a mandetory implementaion that happens when it is decided. The big if is " if the two companies merge operations " . just look at usair/america west. So why is everyone hanging themselves that arbitration is the answer to failed negotiations. with that said, it is important to look at the gains as a whole vs the potential losses that can be behind door number two. there are no guarentees in life except for death and taxes. frontier got too greedy (at least the top 10 percent who spoke for their pilot group ) and have lost a great deal of money. and were left with empty pockets. there was no counter offer. be careful in your decision making process. everyone at SWA has the potential to make a great deal of money, even the guys at the bottom, and with 500 a yr retiring in the upcoming 2013 and beyond senority will increase at a rapid rate. look at the big picture.

I think it is 150 a year on avg for ten years. Then after that for 7 years it's 300+ then goes up to 500 then back down. AT has only 10 a year for the next 10 years.
