It's presumptive, badly spun information like this that incorrectly makes the AT pilots look bad. ALPA took 2 weeks to try to close some of the holes in SL9, most of which were big enough to drive a truck through.

Nobody's screwing GK around. Really.... do you honestly believe they would even attempt that?

Yes.....
I and most know that is what AT/alpa did. It is the way ALPA operates. AT wanted to see how much they could get out of GK. That is the only reason they jerked him along for 2 weeks.

Kind of like going and bargaining on a car/boat,trying to get the price down, when all along you have NO intentions of buying it.

I will ask you, ( if you where GK what would you do if someone did this to you? )

Excellent question!

First, I would ask myself why did I let myself get involved in this process.

Second, I miss-judged ALPA, they aren't "yes" men like SWAPA, they obviously aren't swayed by my presence or gravitas. This was a surprise but should not have been unexpected.

Third, I signed an agreement that has basically painted me in a corner with SWAPA, I'm going to have to start preparing Steve Chase for the inevitable backlash.

Fourth, use the fear environment in an attempt to have the AirTran pilots sign an agreement in mediation to avoid arbitration.

Fifth, our companies stock is at an all time low, cost are rising, we need the AirTran syergies yesterday, we can't be bogged down with the integration.

And yet you fail to see your own point Five governs the others: point five is true, making point four a result, not a cause. Point three is irrelevant, point two is a result of your side and point one is because you care now that point five is true.
