Jack McCrave and his team made a commitment to keep negotiations confidential.

The SWAPA Negotiating Committee is honoring this commitment and I can only assume that the AirTran Merger Committee is doing the same.

Please disregard any posts purporting to describe the actual flow of negotiations. Every description I have read so far has been false and, frankly transparently engineered to be inflammatory and misleading.

It is a shame that the honorable actions on both sides of the table are being over shadowed by these antics. Respectfully, please stop the "leaks" (false information doesn't truly constitute a leak) and the feeble attempts to rewrite history.

The leaks and lack of leaks is what in my opinion created this whole undefined mess.

To this day some have not even bothered to read the SL that once existed to understand why some of us wanted more negotiating to take place as defined in the original agreement.

None of us would buy a car if multiple sales reps warned that the car might have been in a flood yet the sales manager said it was in great shape.

You would want the carfax, check for rust, or to further negotiate to get a clear idea. That is what some of yes changed to no voters wanted. A clearer picture of what "unless agreed upoun by SW and SWAPA" really means at the end of our 30 month contract.

If the MEC voted yes then there would be no time left to negotiate before arbitration or at least that is what I was told / sold.

Now the only thing we can expect is a low ball offer which will again be debated then head to arbitration where hopefully a fair agreement can be worked out.

Now that reports of how bad the economy are being released and how choices must be made to preserve SW, don't you understand that makes us lowly fo s even more concerned about seniority and furlough? I do understand that retirements and junior CA holding seats is debatable as well and should tick off SW pilots or at least create a bargaining chip.

Why did the NC jerk GK & co. around for 2 extra weeks, saying that they just want to get the language correct ( i s dotted, t s crossed). AT/ALPA had no intentions of putting this out for a vote. All you guys did was Fuk with GK for two weeks to see how much of a fool he is. I am still waiting to see if ALPA is in the drives seat or GK. My past experience with the man is someone I would never take for a fool.
Like i said before, step back and put yourself in GK shoes,what would you do?
