Southwest Airlines

My history includes both airline and corporate flying with over 6,700 hrs. total time and 3200 turbine (currently flying EFIS/FMS king Air 200). I'll be attending higher power in april/may of 06 for my 737 Type Rating. what else can I do to market myself/experience? any help would be appreciated. Also any information on interview prep and LOI interviews at SWA.

I got called 7 days after my type was done. I'm not a check airman. At the time I had 3600PIC turbine and 5800 total. No jet time...yet. I am patiently waiting for my 2nd interview which I'll be eligible for next feb.

The average for the interview call after type was done is about 3-6 weeks from what I've seen. Sometimes longer...my buddy just got the interview call and its been almost 3 months for him. G'luck.

You're on the right track. I've noticed that the folks who seem to get the most attention at SWA are those who have been check airmen. If you can legitimately make that claim, I think they'll call you quickly.
