Anyone out there have a trng date for Oct, Nov, Dec??????

From my understanding, people don't find out about class date until about 1 mo prior to the class beginning. So September class calls may be going out now if they haven't begun already. Has anyone received a call for Sept yet?

i heard from a friend inside that there probably wouldn't be a sept class, but they'll pick up around the holidays.

It seems that some of the ATA guys are getting called for interviews without a type rating. Not sure though. I do not know of one other person who has been "pre-hired" in the past few years. People in the "know" are saying, no type no interview. Hope this info helps. If you are lucky enough to get called for an interview without a type rating, then by all means wait until you get the "call" before you invest the money.

I interviewed Jan of 02 without a type. I was told to continue in early Mar. I had my type by mid April. I would suggest that you get the type for several reasons, one being that even if you do get hired without it you are at the bottom of the pool since most interviewees already have it. I enjoyed 26 months in the pool but I am enjoying my flying much more now. It is tough to spend the money, I know but it does show a greater degree of interest in coming to the SWA family.

I actually heard last week that there would be twop classes in September, and possibly three in October. As with all posts here, take this information with a grain of salt as I only work there........
