Anybody out there know or remember when (or if) SWA sends you stuff to study? Is it after they offer a class, or sometime in the pool?
Thanks

They send you Jack Squat from my memory of 4.5 years ago. You'll have to collect all the pubs they give you the first few days and update the changes in them. Before you show up, go back and look at your type rating stuff as far as systems go, but don't go too deep with the -200 model if that is all you have. You won't fly it here anymore as a newbie. They will teach you all you need to know when you get here. When you do show up, I would work mostly on the flows (switchology for preflight, thruflight, and after landing, etc) as well as the Flight Ops Manual. The less time you need to spend on reviewing systems can be spent there.

Good Luck.

B2 guy huh? Was Omlette still at Whiteman when you were there? Old tweet PIT buddy of mine.

For me (Jan 04), they sent the materials after they offered me a class. I doubt they would send you anything before. Between the People Dept and Chief Pilot call is possible, I can't remember.

You can go to this site & copy the PDF file. It is all the "boxed" items & ops checked ops limits. They do send a CD rom out with a lot of useful info also but this will get you a head start.

This site along with all of the bases has some good info that is accessible to the general public. You can go to any of the pilot bases/domiciles by typing in the 3 letter identifier & pilotbase.com Good luck & congrats on getting to Southwest. We look forward to having you here.

KelBil-

Omlet's still out here....possibly looking to get on at SWA!
