SWA Poolies

SWA was called for finger prints today. I'm 137 on the list. Any other poolies get called?

I'm #43 and did mine back in June. I think there was a thread around then and the speculation was that the People Department was just moving down the list getting everyone in the pool fingerprinted, sort of not related to impending classes, just something that has to get done between now and when people start so a slow time with no interviewing was/is as good as time as any to get it done. Hopefully we'll all be getting out of the pool and into class here in early 04.

I heard a rumor about two classes before years end. It's just a rumor I heard online, so take it with a grain of salt.

Got mine done two weeks ago, waaaaay bottom of the list. As mentioned, local PD confirmed it was a purely preemptive move to have 1 less thing to do in the future (had original memo from LL on wall saying as such).

No more grains of salt for me, too much sodium is bad for the blood pressure.

I got called for finger prints last week. I went to BWI on Fri and got them done. They confirmed for me that there are no pilot classes this year. There will be FA classes though. The Peoples Dept. won't tell you exactly what is happening until you are a reasonable number of classes out (5-6). So they didn't say when I would be in class only that I should be working by May. I am well down the list...145. They are doing the finger prints in advance and holding them until you are 30 days out. Then they will submit them for background checks.




I am not as good as I once was but I am as good once as I ever was....

Prints done yesterday

I went to Dallas yesterday to get my fingerprints, number 112 on the FI list. At last word I was about 7 classes out. My last forms update was in Oct of last year so I took the new forms update in with me and turned that in as well. Things seemed pretty busy there so I wasn't able to get any intel to pass along.

#133 CHECKING IN ...

I HAVE BEEN FLYING MY ARSE OFF THIS SUMMER...

THE ONE BENEFIT TO FLYING THAT MUCH IS I DO NOT HAVE TO CHECK INTO THIS WEBSITE EVERY THREE HOURS TO SEE IF ANYTHING HAS CHANGED.

ANYHOW, I WAS STARTING TO FEEL LEFT OUT, I TOO WAS CALLED BY LILAH IN THE BIG "D". I AM MDW BASED SO NO PROB FOR ME. NEXT WEEK I'LL GET 'EM DONE.

WELL, I JUST WANTED TO SAY I REALLY APPRECIATE MY SITUATION HERE IN THE THE SW POOL. IT REALLY HIT ME ON THIS VERY SAD DAY FLYING OUT OF EWR.

AND IF EVER GIVEN THE CHANCE TO WAIT ANOTHER CLASS FOR A RETURNING SERVICEMAN OR WOMAN I WOULD HAPPILY STEP ASIDE. THANKS GUYS, YOU CAN HAVE MY SPOT IN LINE ANYTIME!!
