Okay, I know Southwest pays by the trip instead of hours flown. So are the rates on airlinepilotpay.com what you get paid by the trip? I am curious because it says they were converted from hours flown to trips flown.

Also what is the average number of trips flown at Southwest? I went ahead and used those rates and the average of 115 trips per month and came out with about 67 grand first year pay, without taxes and other expenses. Sound about right?

Thanks all for any feedback! :)

line averages are closer to the low-mid 90 trips per month. You'd have to work an extra 3-4 days to make 115 at straight pay.

Your number is probably pretty close at 115 trips......

First year figure on about 100 trips/month. If you are on reserve, 90 trip guarantee but you can pick up one day and get close to 100. 115 starts eating your life away. I do between 105-110 and still keep at least 16 days off.
