We anticipate resuming interviews for hiring in March of this year. The pool will be exhausted in mid-spring with the forecasted classes. As you know, our on-line application site will open Monday, January 12. Our People Department recruiters and staff have done an outstanding job and are excited to resume the interview process. With the resumption of hiring, you can expect to see monthly vacancy bids and Captain upgrade classes beginning in March. Please ensure vacancy bids are exactly what you want to do. Remember, you cannot bypass Captain upgrade when called for a class unless you have extreme circumstances. It will require Chief Pilot approval.

Anybody else having problems logging back in after registering? It gave me a message that my login was invalid. Now the login page won't even load. They're probably still working the bugs out of it. I guess I should have waited until Monday!

I logged in hours ago, submitted an app, updated it once, and now it is gone. They will probably testing it to work the bugs out over the weekend. I will try again Monday or Tuesday. Well maybe Monday AM, Mnday PM. Well maybe all day Monday.

I heard it this morning. Apparently, all of the folks "not following directions" caused the IT guys to have all kinds of problems bringing the system up. Glad my name isn't on that list.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what directions are they referring to? I don't see anything on the website about January 12 or any other date; it just says "apply here".

As one of the troublemakers I'm curious if anyone knows if being unable to retrieve the application info we already submitted means that they didn't receive it?

Just a thought

Not to disappoint anyone but, since SWA stated that the online app process would begin Jan 12, and assuming that if it open now it is just for troubleshooting and their network IT folks to tweak the system, AND considering SWA's strong history of fairness to its employees, has anyone considered that once the tweaking is over they will purge the system of all these weekend apps and officially open the site on Monday? You may all be doing this all over again come Monday. Again, not trying to discourage anyone but it was just a thought. I'll wait for the "official" Monday opening.

I for one, will be following the directions and applying on the 12th like the website and the letters they sent out said.
