So we've all been sending LOR's in now for 2-3 years to multiple people...I don't know about the rest of you but I've got a bunch of old LORs on file now. What's the consensus -

1) Do we assume they'll hold onto the ones they have and leave them with 2-year old letters and possibly the wrong contact person on the letter?
2) Do we have new LORs written with just new dates and the new contact name?
3) Do we have completely new letters written with a paragraph explaining that a previous letter was written?

Aaghhh...what fun!

What does everyone think???

When I was at Higher Power, the woman from the People Department that came by (I can't remember her name) to talk addressed this a little. She did say they wanted current LOR. She meant in applying but I guess it would apply here also. She also said that anymore that 10 LOR looked suspicious. She joked that they wondered if the pilots that sent in more than that hung out in airports and asked every pilot they saw for one. Now for your question:

I am sure they keep them. You can always call and let them know you would like to replace the old ones with some new ones. they will let you know what is best to do.

Current LOR?

When is a LOR considered to bee too old and neet to be updated? I have two for SWA from SWA pilots but each was given to me back in June or August. Are these still "new" enough?

Current LOR

Personally I think w/in the last year should suffice...but having said that I will leave 1 or 2 on file from 2001 just to show that I've been trying for a while now....of course I'm sure they know that.

On another note, I didn't see anywhere on the new online app to put your original application date? Anyone else find it?
