Echo the numbers.

I will echo those numbers from what I heard a few days ago. We had a SWAPA officer on the jumpseat and he quoted the same numbers for projected hiring for the next three years. He also said (unfortunately) that there will not be any classes before January. Hopefully that is just the party line for right now.
On another note, we flew over SEA-TAC yesterday and saw at least two more SWA jets on the ramp getting ready for their new home. If you saw the USA Today Money section on Friday, their projection on planes and pilot for SWA looks great for the next five years.
Good luck to all of you waiting.

I like those numbers

Those numbers look extremely good. It seems that next year maybe up to 500-800 pilots will be called for interviews based on those numbers. Also, it doesn't look like those numbers take into account any unplanned growth as of yet due to American pulling out of STL.

I added up scheduled retirements through the end of 2006 and came up with 446.
