I say GREAT news. I'll bet my Aqua Man floaties that there is a class in May.

I gotta go clean my glasses now, the rose colored ones.

Ok..
Now that we have that out of the way..

My guess is the phones will start ringing no later than this time next week..

It takes six weeks plus two weeks of IOE to get a class on the line..It takes only three days to put a plane in the system even if it has sat in the desert..

Do the math there guys..

Whos your daddy?

You are Mike!

I give it a little more time than next week, but definently before June.

Good Afternoon folks, this is the Flight Ops Newsline for Friday, April 19, 2002.

I'm sure most you have heard by now that Southwest Airlines was profitable in the first quarter. We announced earnings of approximately 3¢ a share, which equates to a $21.4 million profit. This is almost $100 million dollars less than our first quarter profits from last year, but still a monumental achievement compared to the rest of the aviation industry.

All other major airlines that have revealed their first quarter earnings all suffered major losses, most in the hundreds of millions of dollars. We are extremely fortunate to be a part of such a successful team.

We had two additional -700's delivered yesterday, April 18th. That brings our fleet total to 364 aircraft. So far this year, we have accepted delivery of 12 new aircraft from the Amor trust and Boeing.

Just a little recent news from the company.

The Real Deal...

vx9.tc,

Hey thanks for publishing this information directly from SWA. It's good to see the real deal coming down from the company every so often.

Thanks Again...

This trully does show how profitable Southwest Airlines really is...and why I'm willing to wait.

Thanks to everyone at SWA for making this airline so successful!
