I heard that JB didn't pay for the software uploads that come with the aircraft - they are wayyyy behind Republic, in terms of uploads, which cure many of the operational problems (common type = common uploads??). Any truth to this? I'll have Carl Spackler ask the Dali Lama.

BTW, the Guppy is a far superior product and can carry cargo aswell - imagine that!!
OK....thanks for the advice.

:pimp:

Getting defensive, are we??

BTW the question wasn't directed at you, it was asked of JB guys. You must be hilarious at parties - do you talk so much that you suck the air out of the room, before anyone else has a chance??

Hey, here's an idea! How about all you morons hope that Southwest keeps on plugging along so there is no downturn in growth. Only way you guys will ever see a future pay raise is if SWA can maintain their own and raise it more. Unbelievable, no wonder pilot are such frickin morons, hoping that one of the highest paying pilot groups out there actually loses money.

AGAIN EXACTLY!!! Why dont you losers try and spend your time and efforts improving the pay and beneifts at your carriers instead of trying to spread crap and bring swa down to your level. Again, this concept must be to difficult for you backpackers to understand.

The only thing I see at SWA that's undesirable is their trip construction. My buddies make a lot more than me, but oh my GOD do they work their butts off...

It wouldn't be so bad if there were plenty of 2-3 leg per day 5-6 hour credit trips available with 16-18 hour overnights and lazy people like me could bid them, but I haven't seen a single trip constructed like that.

I'd like to not be burned out by the time I hit 40, with 20+ years still left to go.

Other than that, I can't think of a bad thing to say about Southwest... Treated me GREAT for the 4+ years I commuted on them to DTW every week.

Thanks for the rides!

I have that trip this month. 2 legs day one, 2 legs day 2, 1 leg day three, back home at 1300. Pays 19.5 Trips for pay. 18 hour overnights. Most would not like it, but I do!

There's plenty of those trips here.

They go junior, because they don't pay as much as the more productive trips.

hmmm? I think I remember several SWA pilots gloating on this board several years ago when ual and dal $340/hr captains took 50% paycuts. Now in many ways you guys have taken their place.

But I'm all for you guys getting payraises! It helps us all. Best of luck...

That's actually pretty cool... my buddies must not look for those either, they said there weren't any they'd ever seen, but they've only been there a couple years.

Guess there's not much to complain about... now why did I let my app lapse again? ;)

I have a 4 day this week 5 legs day one(ouch but I will survive) then 2,3 and 2 pays 27 with 15-18hr overnights.
