SWA benifits?

I just have a question about SWA benifits, such as medical. When it start, how long do you need to wait before it kicks in and any other nice thing to know.

On the first morning of class, after all the welcome's ect, The HR people come in and start in on all the paperwork. You and your family are covered for medical, dental, vision and life insurance. Later on you can adjust your coverage for what you prefer for you or your family. PPO, HMO, life insurance on your kids ect.
