To answer your question:
You are eligible (hope I spelled that right) 1 year after Capt. Upgrade, then you must be asked, interviewed (a new system that's coming) and some other stuff. Other than line checks, they do sim PC's, Lofts, and a few teach some new-hire classes (a couple of days). Unless you live in Mecca (DAL) it's probably not that good of a deal, I'm sure that it pays extra, don't know how much. Oh, they also do IOE and UOE of course, and monthly meetings I think...
What are the requirements for becoming a check airman at SWA? Do they have other duties in addition to line checks? How much more are they paid than a reqular line captain?
