Interviews for Sept would be in a October Decision Board. Which has not been set yet.

Calls usually go out from the Chief Pilots anywhere from right after the board to around the following Monday.....so from Wed to Mon. If no call by then, it might not be so good.

Gozinya, I'll be there with you. No word on classes here also, just waiting for the good envelope to show up in my mailbox now.
 
For those that got the call on Thurs, was it the DAL CP or one from another base? I'm hoping that the other CP's were travelling home today and would be on the phone making calls on Fri?

Congrats to you guys.

I'm waiting in the weeds....hoping for the pool and the floaties!

A friend of mine got the call today also, and it was from the MDW CP. Best of luck to all waiting, you won't find a better flying job.
 
From the school house...no official word on classes. Just the same rumors of 2 a month till the end of the year. One instructor said that there are no more in August for sure (BI) ...and if they come for Septemeber they will only get announced about 2 weeks out. They are planning for more but want to be cautious with all going on in the industry.

I do think the instructors are in the blind just as much as we all are.

Congrats to all getting the news...and to those who don't just enjoy where you are for now!

My call was from the BWI base and from an ACP not the CP who, from my understanding from a SW friend, was the one at the DB.

Well if you do get the job, sounds like FI will gain another guy always trying to add in how great his airline is.

There's no need to state the complete obvious.....and btw its not hard to do when you're paying 1/2 as much for gas as everyone else.

g'luck tho.
 
I got the good call from the MCO Asst. Chief Pilot today! WooooHooooo! I can't say that I've ever been more happy/relieved to get a phone call.

Call from Southwest today making sure all the background stuff is done. Don't know when classes are going to be officially but you will get slotted by the date you interviewed as long as everything else is in line (background, type, drug check, etc.)
 
Any idea what % of July interviewees have been hired? How many will that put in the pool? I have a buddy that interviewed 4 Aug--where would he land in the pool if hired?

Is that really confirmed?
I don't see how it could be because 2 or 3 guys on this thread got the call.
Sorry if you got a letter Lear... been there done that!
A big congrats to you guys too!:beer:

Any idea from anyone if/when calls will go out again for interviews?

July 8th afternoon group, 6 interviewed - 1 got the call so far. Not me, got the letter today. Best of luck to everyone else. I have something lined up that I think will be better for me. Only time will tell... and no, I'm not bitter.
 
Rumor is Aug DB picked up 100 or approx 40%. A stronger rumor is 2 classes in Sept... 10 and 17. Nothing definite about the rest of the year. See y'all soon.
 
I was in the July 10th AM interview class, 6 interviewed, 6 hired. Pretty cool and very exciting for everyone!
