I would say they aren't the savior too but they are three steps ahead of the rest!

Don't worry about the decision board. Enjoy your life at home with the family and if SWA wants you they will call, if not they will mail.

Believe me, SWA is not the savior of your
career.
Good luck!!

you work at CAL right? Why are you worried about people interviewing at SWA?

90% of the August guys have the type. Glad to see so many second chance dudes starting to get the call.

That is a relief.....

second chance me, second chance me.....

(heavy drooool) ;)

Good luck to those of you guys in limbo!

You should do interview prep next time. My buds all did it and the lady gave them all the answers for the interview. Every one of them got the job. PM me and I'll send you her name.

Ahh, to bad the interview process changed.

DB met today in DAL.

I think the practice run was all the prep that I'll need.
Even with a change in format, I'll be much more relaxed from lot'sa job fairs and a few interviews over the last couple of years..... heck, I'm practically a shoe in like you man. (i really don't truly believe that now...)
Thanks for the offer though Tanker, maybe you is not such bad guy after all.....

Is the therapy working? :D

Z.

Seriously, you should prep. There's obviously something wrong with you or something they couldn't stand about you. Whatever it is, you should get some honest feedback and try and cover that part (or parts) of yourself up. But then again, maybe you just got blackballed.

There is something wrong with me............
but I think it has something to do w/ being blue balled.... I couldn't commute home during my last 2 day break.....
:D
Honey, I'm home..........
(run for your life!)

This coming from a naked man in a helicopter....:)

You call your boyfriend "Honey." Isn't that just adorable.
Believe what you want man........
But just remember I'm not the guy collecting pictures of naked men in helicopters on my hard drive!
You are....

Thanks 328, got some other people checking on it too. I let you know what I find out tomorrow.

Already heard back:

Board still on the 13th unless they left out the CP from LAS, PHX, DAL, MCO and BWI...

Now, even though the Twotter is STOL certified and doesn't need much more runway than a helicopter it's still considered a fixed wing ;) . Probably same TAS as many copters though..

FZ

Thanks FZ,
That's what I love about aviation I learn something new everyday.... I just can't remember stuff for very long......
I didn't see a door and made an ugly assumption.....
DeHaviland builds some good stuff!

Anybody else have any of their references called this last week? It's getting close to the DB and it's been a little quiet here.

Thats what I was thinking. Mine still weren't called...

Keep in mind this is ancient history.....
(as I interviewed almost 8 years ago
and the rejection letters may come after the board now)
But I got my rejection letter much
prior to the decision board.........
I remember a SWA pilot recruiter "MS. RK"
in a LAS job fair saying that sometimes they had
enough internal connections (people that new people)
that checking up on applicants was easy enough to do without even
calling your ref's directly. Remember it's a small
world in the aviation biz.... (never burn any bridges, or piss anyone off).
I don't know if this makes you feel any better but I wouldn't write things off just yet.
I know the waiting sucks.
Good Luck,
Z.

Well...if all is correct, the DB should begin tomorrow. For all those involved, Good luck and God speed!

Make sure to let everyone else know if you hear anything so the rest of us can sweat!
