Skippy has my vote. Tarp, it's great that that route worked for you, but it's not the only way. After completing my commercial, I spent 2 weeks and less than 500 bucks getting my CFI with a couple of Gleims, a good airplane and a lot of dedication. I actually had a job offer before the ride started at the FBO where I flew to meet the fed. I had never even met the owner. I already had a job lined up at another FBO, so I didn't accept, but that's the kind of stuff that happens at the small fields.

The good thing about being at a small airport is that everybody knows your name. In my brief time as a diver driver, I've been given the opportunity to do everything from x-country charters to flying the Hooters girls. Maybe small town airports truly are a gift from above
