anybody have news on sun country? latest i heard they were calling back a few pilots.
how many planes are they up to?

I heard they were trying to get some more 737-800's, but I don't know the current number. Sorry.

I just saw one of their B-737s last week at JFK. I believe they're totally out of the scheduled flying business and back to flying just charters. The FAA Flight Standards airline page still shows them with 7 B-737s in their fleet.

I just flew on SCA from JFK to MSP last week, and from what I picked up, they have 5 737-800's for the summer season and have leads on 4 more for the winter season. The planes are great, all leather and really comfortable looking first class seats. the have brought back 28 pilots, all to start training soon. They also have a few old guys retiring in the next few months, my informent being one of them. The staff was nice and seemed happy though.
