Thanks, Bobby. I actually remember reading that story from you a while back. I had forgotten it, though. I appreciate you sharing it with us again.
 
I was demonstrating a maximum performance landing at Fort Pierce, Florida in a Seminole for two of my Alitalia students.

Dammit Bobby,
Sometimes I wonder about you. Everyone knows that the problem you had was rooted in one simple thing: these were Italians! They talk with their hands! No wonder you couldn't train 'em! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Actually, the students that Alitalia sent us were primarily excellent material. We had to send back one. But one out of thirty or forty was pretty good. Their English would improve with time; where we were concerned was their grasp of ATC English. The last batch that went to language school did great.
