Located in SW FL willing to drive a couple hours, but I need some dual in a plane with an ADF. Thanks for the help.

I forgot about them. They are quite shoddy down there, but I suppose if thats the only place I'm going to have to use them.

Would most old 150's and 172's have them installed?

The few I've found that do are placarded inop. Which is understandable considering how there not used enough to justify repairing them. My only luck is renting a Duchess and going that route. Which isn't a bad idea considering I need to get some more multi time as it is.

Hey dude if your in Nor Cal I will let you use my ATC 610 it has an ADF and the cost is one six pack of Sierra per hour.

I'd take you up on the offer if I wasn't on the side of the country. The question is do you really have a 610 at your house?

I got one in my C-172, great for listening to the ball games while cruising around VFR

We listened to it all the time flying freight around in the middle of the night...what else are you going to do for hour upon hour.....

Just a suggestion. If you don't have any luck finding an ADF why don't you look for someone with an RMI? It just expands the envelope and those may be worth getting repaired.

I shoulda stated either in fact an RMI would be much better for me, but I haven't had luck at all in this department.

If you are just looking for practice, go find Microsoft Flight simulator for a couple of hours. It works the same and won't cost you much. And you can sit there and drink adult beverages in the air conditioning of your choice. South FL can get warm this time of year.

It's very warm this time of year I'm new to this area so it's taking a considerably large amount of adult beverages to keep my cool. I may or may not try the MS Flight Sim. I think it would be a bit too much to try and run on my laptop.

Europe-American Aviation have aircraft with G1000 and HSI/RMI.

Ya I saw those guys, but their prices are really high. We have a G1000 172 here at the field I'm on now so if all else fails I can head on over to them.
