Don't have a book but a perspective student and I were talking about using a fuel pump for takeoff on a Stinson 108 with a Lycoming IO-360. Obviously the engine is injected so it needs steady good pressure, it however is also a highwing. If I recall from the aircraft I've flown with highwings and injected engines the fuel pump was left off for takeoff. Also why would a carburated C-172RG have a boost pump, why would you ever need that with a high wing carbed a/c?
Thanks
