Stick with floats or change them out with tires?

For those of you with float planes, do you leave floats on year round or do you switch to tires at times? How hard is it to switch out floats to tires etc.?

How much do floats typically weigh. They seem monstrous and heavy.

What brands are better than others? Pro's and con's?

Any regrets or lessons learned mainly from the cub world with floats?
