Was considering doing a cycle of steroids and was curious if any other pilots have done so while being employed with an airline. Just curious about drug testing, although I do not believe it is something tested for.

Anyone?

Are you seriously that stupid? If so, you need to be weeded out of the airline business, possibly the gene pool. Is it really worth potentially doing serious damage to your heart and liver? Forget the steroids....eat right, run, and lift weights. It's not rocket science.

BTW, certain steroids WILL show up on drug tests. Oh, and be sure to disclose that in the medications section of your next medical.

Anabolics do not show up on the standard six-panel urinalysis screen. They'd have to be tested for specifically. Just remember to have your liver function numbers checked every 30 days or so.

The easiest on the system, yet still very effective is Methandrostanalone (Decca injectable), but Anavar tabs are also OK and reasonably safe. Most bathtub Test is crap ... as you probably already know, but the pharmaceutical Test patches are pretty good (wear four of 'em at a time). If you have a friend who rides the Rodeo circuit, he'll tell you Equipoise is being used LIBERALLY over there, and despite being a veterinary drug, it's actually quite safe if cycled correctly.

And whatever you do ... stay away from Halotestin or other 'super drugs'. That stuff will swell your prostrate on just ONE CYCLE!

Minh
(BTW ... I do NOT condone illegal steroid use, nor am I recommending it.)

Just how do the steriods improve your flight performance?

No seriously just have a prescription from a Doc for any drugs you need and run it by your Flight Doc to make sure it does not disqualify you from flight status.

Do your best to stay away from them! First off getting caught with them is as bad if not worse than cocaine. You could earn some jail time. There's a lot of things that take place in your body while using roids. Prostate, liver and heart problems are all things you may encounter. Acne on the arms and back is very common. Male patter baldness is accelerated. Your balls will shrink, because they have shut down while you supply your own man juice. Some people claim they also cause impotence, which contradicts itself. Your supplying increased supplies of testosterone to your body which in the middle of a cycle you'll srew a fence post if you could. Steroids have been used for many years safely for numerous health situations, however the problem in the body building/weight lifting world is there abuse. People don't tend to use them in the minimal dosages as prescribed by doctors. Example---- a few posts above someone mentioned using four patches instead of one, classic. Another problem is the psychological effects. Steroids do work and will make you as strong and as big as you want to be. They only work as effectively as your training, diet, and rest are. They don't work without work, simple put. They allow you to work out even harder which in turn you recover faster and develop strength and size faster. The mind games begin at this stage. You may go up 50lbs on your bench during a cycle, when you get off you'll lose some of that if you continue to train hard. The problem is now you'll want more. It can become an addictive cycle with a continual thirst to be bigger and stronger.
What are your goals anyways? With a good routine, diet and proper rest you can be bigger than most anyways. You don't need the juice. There are some legal supplements that work great if taken properly, like creatine.

Prednisone limited

I have been recently diagnosed with Myastenia Gravis, and one of the control methods is with steroids. I do know that the FAA will only allow 20mg per day of prednisone for flying pilots. My advice would be to avoid them if at all possible, do some serious research, they are bad news. FWIW.

I feel sorry for you in the fact that your self-esteem is so low that you would consider permanently damaging your vital organs in order to gain an aesthetic appearance.

I have hauled many like you. On the way to get a new kidney or a new liver. You will think it is really worth it when you are permanently hooked to a machine, as you cannot function with out a liver. Or going to dialysis 4 times a week.

When you make it on my plane you will weigh about half what you should and be so weak you cannot even sit up to look out the window. And remember that everyone will know what you did to yourself. You will be so ashamed that you will just turn your head.

I have seen many children that were born with a need and struggle every day of their life to get old enough or strong enough for a transplant. Their parents sit in the back of my plane and pray that this time there will be a match. Maybe someday you will have a child that need a kidney, and yours will be so rotten that they will not use it, and you were a perfect match.

Put your life into perspective and get some help.

steroid use

I was once prescribed Kennolog for seasonal hayfever. Used it for years until I discovered it was a steroid. It never showed up on the drug test, but I ditched them as soon as discovered what it really was. I would say stay far away from them. In some forms they may be billed as "safe", but as far as I'm concerned they are a huge unknown! BTW, the man-sausage suffered no shrinkage!

Dumb $hit!!

I find it easiest to sit on my lard ass instead of having to worry about physical activity, steroids, etc etc.

Everyone, be nice to debo. Remember there are no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people that ask them. This thread is the perfect example.

Well, if he uses the steroids carefully and abides by a strict weightlifting regimine, he'll be able to tear you arms off if you ever cross him. There's something to be said for that. And no, you cannot assume that his steriod usage will result in him being hooked up to a machine. Under medical supervision it's pretty safe (did you actually think those Olympic weightlifters are clean while training for the Olympics?). Also, most World Strongmen competitors juice, and they've been doing so for many, many years.

debo:

If you use injectible anabolic steriods, be sure to keep the injection site clean. Infections will plague you if you're not careful, and may even result and gangrene and limb amputation. A chemist friend of mine used personally engineered steroids for about a year. He eventually developed an infection which killed him because he refused to seek medical attention.

If you haven't already, you might want to try Androstene instead of anabolic steroids. The side effects are much less pronounced and the results are staggering. Good luck.
