Not much to do in Maine huh. While you got all that free time why dont you work on the ol' spelling and math.

I do not and have never worked for Air Now.

You have to learn a lot real quick in the 135 world. Bandits are ok planes, but they will bite you if you don't watch out. Ice can overwhelm the systems rather quickly if you don't take action at the onset of the condition (Changing alt, heading, etc.). The nose wheels always shimmy and the Minimum static torque numbers are a pipe dream. If you ever feel pressured to fly a broken plane or in unsafe conditions ask yourself where that pressure is comming from. I've never had a Chief pilot say: "I know this is broken, but fly it any ways or you are fired." Usually pilots percieve pressure in these situations or they cannot accuratly assess risk, chipped paint is not dangerous. It is up to the pilot to identify problems and have them fixed. No one else will do this for you. If there is a recurring problem with a plane and it has not been written up you have no one to blame. Put write ups in the books and work with the mechanics to identify the problem. Planes break, welcome to real life. Delta 777 Captains have problems with broken planes too. It is not just a 135 thing. Comming on here and bashing a company and naming names is unprofessional. Be a man and learn how to be a good Captain, God knows you are not the only one who deals with this stuff every day. Many pilots have had sucess being 135 PIC's and few of them slipped through the cracks. You are on your own out there and you better be able to react to situations when they present themselves. By your post, I'd assume Air Now is better off without you.

Airnow is a very good 135 outfit to work for. I have worked for several 135 companies bothscheduled and on demand. Airnow has never forced me to do anything that i didnt feel like doing and ive even showed up at the airport ready to call in and have them tell me the flight was cancelled due to weather. Bandit110's post was right on the money. these 135 a/c are old but they are still airworthy. If you have a issue write it up and stick to your write ups. dont let anyone pressure you to fly anything you dont feel is airworthy or unsafe. now i know there are tons of things with a/c that we wish worked better or operated all the time such as radio's, nav's and other items. In the last 6 months the only write ups ive had with 2 of the bandits was a radio, main tire, and a door warning light. they were all addressed and fixed right. The chief pilot and TJ are both good guys and will help you out with any situatio.IF you are a lowtime pilot "under 2000tt" then AIrnow is a great company to build turbine time with for a year or two and pays better than the regionals do, but not by much!! Just make sure you know all the facts about what to expect with your job and that there is a training contract before u start your training!!!!! Im currently leaving Airnow for another opportunity flying jets that pays more and will give me more in the longrun.
As far as moto goes he is a former employee who was let go and is just trying to stir up crap instead of just letting his situation play out in court.
if anyone has specific questions they would like to know message me and I will let you know the truth!!!!

PS. some people are man enought to give their TRUE opinion and not hide behind a screen name.

Someone is very angry with himself. You are without a doubt the biggest f***up here on this board. Geez man grow up, take some english lessons and stop behaving like a big baby. Aviation can do without people like you. No, I don't work for AirNow either.

Nah, planehpn decided moto wasn't smart enough to hang out with LOL

Air Now did let 2 pilots go a few months ago. One guy landed when the a/p was below vis mins (among other things). Hey, he had to go skiing. The other guy was just not doing his job. I know both these guys were given lots of chances. They were good guys, but you still have to do your job. So consider the poster before you believe what you read.

I have never felt ANY pressure to go when I was not legal. I have always had the final say. New guys are usually given a little more leeway as well. The maintenance in Maine was contracted to Telford. AirNow has just stared their own maint base in MHT. The planes should get fixed on the overnights. TJ and the rest of the company are good people. The CP is hands down one of the best guys you could ever work for. I have had several jobs before this one.

Diesel,

Maybe you have not been around aviation for very long, but the FAA looks at everyone and gives them all a hard time. I have not seen any official violation that they have issued. Please feel free to provide some evidence. In fact, AirNow is the only outfit that will type you in the E-110. The FAA goes to them for their type rides. “Screwing crew times,” have not seen it. Its as much the pilot’s responsibility to ensure you do not accept an assignment that violates the FARs. As far as amenities goes, what would you like, a mint on your pillow… It’s a place to crash, with cable tv and two Internet ready comps. What else would you like?

They did loose two runs in Maine. Not sure exactly why. I do know that last quarterly UPS audit, the North East region had a 100% score. AirNow has at least half of these runs.

It’s a good entry job. Work hard for a few years and move on. As the CP told me when I stared. They don’t expect you to get the gold watch…

I hurd AirNow is a GREAT Freight Company. You should not bash on things unless you have all the facts. It's a great place to get the time and move on. Just like most Freight Companies. Thats All Folks.
