Four years ago as I was performing flight training working up to a commercial aviation career, the towers came down and the entire aviation industry was immediately thrown into chaos. In the years since then, I've worked and gone back to grad school, watching and waiting to see what happened to our beloved aviation industry. For those of you working in the industry, especially commercial pilots, what do you see in store for the future of the industry in both the short term and the long term? Is there any semblance of stability that would afford supporting a family a few years down the line, or would it be wiser to shoot for an Air Force career where employment is stable and salary is reasonable? Thanks very much to any who can provide meaningful input in this matter.
