I know of a few interline travel places that offer great discounts for hotels and resorts on STT...

However, if I just felt like hopping a plane down there, are there any hotels that offer airline employee discounts like they do CONUS?

Just curious. I'll probably never do that because of the great deals with the interlines...but if I'd happen to get an urge for a quick sun/sand/beach fix...

I suppose I could grab a tent at Cinnamon Bay on STJ. :)

I haven't been in awhile. Redhook is/was a great drinkin' spot. If you have time, take the ferry (Bomba chaser, Bomba etc...,) to St. Johns. Much better place in my opinion. There are cabins you can rent on Cinnimmon (?) bay. Well, a lot more laid back then St. Thomas. The Back door on St. Johns is/was a happening pub. Cinnimmon bay is St. Johns, no?

Plus. I think the beaches on St.John are def. better.

Are you sure that "The Back Door" is the right place? The poster is "Weasel Keeper", not "Gerbil Keeper", after all...

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Care to share the places on STT that offer good discounts?

Ya know, when I type the name Back door, I thought (this doesn't sound right).
Maybe it's back porch?
Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer is spending too much time in the shower. So he goes to the local GYM and "Observes" the guys showering while taking notes. Kramer: "Ya, your showing me things, but this guy has it going on".:)

One great discount I've used before was through Openskies. Jun 1 thru Oct 31, 2005 - $329 includes 3 nights/4days pp at the Emerald Beach on Lindbergh Bay...about 1/2 mile from the airport. Space-A on Delta round trip.

http://openskiesonline.com/caribben.htm (scroll to the bottom for STT)

The home page:http://openskiesonline.com/index.htm has all the info you need including a sample employment verification form.

I love St John, and when I win the powerball I'll be buying a villa there...heh. I absolutely agree the beaches on St John are the best in the world. Trunk Bay is known as one of the best beaches in the world, but I like Cinnamon Bay better because it's less crowded. Last time I was there, my wife and I were only one of three couples on the entire stretch of beach...during the low season in Sept. There are probably even better beaches but I didn't get the chance to explore as much as I would have liked...hence one reason I'm asking about spur of the moment discounts. :)

KC-10...that was funny, I don't care who you are! :D

The difference between the USVI and the BVI is that USVI is like going into a Suburban area of Chicago, while the BVI is like going into Crapout, OK in a dust bowl..........eh amenties......wise

No clue why any BVI comment was thrown in, but I guess everyone's entitled an opinion out of the blue. :p

Crapout, OK? Hmm.... I live in Tortola and have done so for the last 10-years. I guess if you like fast food restaurants, traffic, congestion and big cities and hate year 'round sunshine, an average temperature of 85 (water & air), crystal clear water, beautiful sandy beaches, boating & diving this probably isn't the right place.

Most of us moved here to get away from the amenities. Wow imagine living somewhere that doesn't have a movie theater or a 7-11 on every corner. We just got our first stop light and you know what - it was a real bummer.

At any rate if anyone has any questions about the USVI's (yes, I lived on St. Thomas for 3-years) or the BVI's please ask - I live here and am happy to help in anyway!

No intention to offend, but thank you for elaborating on what the BVI is really like.

And personally I need the movie theater, the 7-11, and the big city, along with the country.

Suburbs.................eeek
